Snow???

What is that stuff???  Seriously, snow??
Can you believe it?  Here in Temple!  The soccer ball was practically buried.  I know, you Northeasterners are laughing, but that a LOT of snow to a Texan!!
I couldn't get Logan to go outside in it.  No way.  No how.
Myra took about 2 steps into the cold stuff, and retreated back to the porch, small snowball in hand.
Eventually, she figured out what snow was for.  Eating, of course!
Then we went inside and had...popsicles!  My kids...
By the evening it was pretty much half melted, and completely gone the following day.  That's how I like my snow - gone!

So sweet!

Myra has gotten to that age where she learns something new every day.  I can't keep track of the new words she says or the things she can do.  Here's one of our favorites.

Myra loves her Daddy.

And Cars.

Is it Time?

I thought the kids were playing in their room (Famous Last Words...), when I heard from that vicinity, "I went poop!"  You can imagine what was racing through my mind as I ran back there.  Happily, this is what I found!
I think potty training will commence soon.  And maybe Logan will just train Myra!  Hey, a girl can dream, right?

Happy Valentine's Day!

We had a fun Valentine's Day today!  Mitch and Logan started off the festivities by cringing me breakfast in bed!  Yum!  Then we all had presents.
Logan carted the King with him everywhere he went today.
Oma sent fancy chocolate!
But the bubble fan was the highlight!!
Oooh!
Myra tries to feed lollipop to her teddy bear.
Then we all got dressed up in our new Valentine clothes, and headed to church, where a photo shoot was in order!
Here's Logan.
and Myra.  And a few more random pictures of cuteness I know you'll enjoy.
Happy Valentine's Day!!

Topsy Turvy

Naptime at our house is very regimented.  Logan likes structure and gets a bit off kilter if I mess with his mojo.  Our usual routine ends with a kiss for Mommy and Myra and then I take Myra to the living room to nurse her to sleep while Logan drifts off to dreamland on his own.  Theoretically.  At least, it has happened that way.  Like once.  Typically, Logan wanders to his toybox, fills his bed with toys and has to be reminded several times to put the toys away and go to sleep, all while Myra scoffs at my feeble attempts to get her to sleep.  Somehow, they do both take naps every day, but it's always one of those miraculous, "I'm not sure how it happened." moments. Well,  a few days ago, we had a busy morning and after only one reminder, all was quiet on the Logan front AND Myra had fallen asleep.  I headed to the room to lay Myra down, only to find...
a sweet blonde boy curled up in the crib, snoozing under the blanket that Grandma Deshazer crocheted for Myra.  What's a gal to do?  I laid Myra down in Logan's bed and let sleeping boys lie.  She woke up a little disoriented, but none the worse for wear.

Pictures...

I'm told that the second child gets fewer photos taken than the first...  I find that to be untrue at our house.
Myra is a total ham!

Sometimes Logan sneaks in the background.
Or sits close enough to get in the shot.
