So, I just made a skirt. That in and of itself is no shock to anyone, I am sure. It's a rocking awesome skirt, easily one of the best I've made. My problem is this - it fits, but not the way that my skirts are supposed to fit. I didn't realize the extent of my displeasure until Mitch took my blog pictures. The skirt has a cute flounce in the back, so I wanted a shot of it.
This isn't even the most unflattering. And I'm sucking in. I know, I had a baby 6 weeks ago, but I don't think that lets me off the hook. Here it is. I need to lose about 10 pounds. It isn't a lot, but it is the difference between an awesome fitting skirt, and one that I can't tuck a shirt into. I've had troubles in the past with getting a little overzealous with my weight loss goals, and lately I've done a lot of eating to keep awake, so I'm posting this as a way to keep myself from going overboard, but also as a way to keep myself on track.
Here's the plan. I'm not an exerciser - I don't enjoy it and so I won't make time for it. I am planning to cut down to about 1500 calories per day, which I'm tracking via LoseIt.com (and the associated iPhone app). I'll do weekly weigh ins, which I will post here, perhaps on Saturdays. I may even do some measurements, depending on what seems to be motivating me.
So, if you see me falling off the wagon, please call me out!! I promise I won't get offended, and I'll really appreciate the support. Also, if you have a LoseIt.com account, please add me as your friend and we can keep track together!
